Author & Illustrator

Vanessa Hull was five years old when she was given a stuffed panda toy, which ignited a lifelong passion. Today, she is a wildlife ecologist with fifteen years of experience studying giant panda behaviour, ecology, and conservation in southwestern China. She is particularly interested in protected areas, human-wildlife interactions, and balancing conservation with human wellbeing. Vanessa is currently an assistant professor at the University of Florida.

Charlotte Molas is a French illustrator who splits her time between Paris and Biarritz. Her colorful illustrations are inspired by Matisse, the Art Déco movement, and pop culture. She spends her time working on books and magazines, and putting on exhibitions of her work. Her name is pronounced “Mola” without the “s” and it means “You rock” in Spanish.
