Vanessa Hull was five years old when she was given a stuffed panda toy, which ignited a lifelong passion. Today, she is a wildlife ecologist with fifteen years of experience studying giant panda behaviour, ecology, and conservation in southwestern China. She is particularly interested in protected areas, human-wildlife interactions, and balancing conservation with human wellbeing. Vanessa is currently an assistant professor at the University of Florida.
